Freebird Body Art
by Marlena Kellogg
Face and Body Painting is a transformative experience for all people. First, It allows two people to interact in a performance of artist and work of art, expressed simultaneously. Secondly, it is the release of a creative embodiment, as unique as each personality it accentuates and exists as a living canvas.
Marlena Kellogg uses the medium of face and body paint to push and create the boundaries of fine art and body painting by inviting play, vulnerability, and childlike exploration. She has traveled all over the world with her artwork including North America, Europe, and the Caribbean. Specifically, her work remains on the west coast of the USA- Washington, Oregon, and California, and in Europe- Germany, Italy, Greece, and France and in the Caribbean- Cuba. Marlena paints the skin of the ordinary Saturday market shoppers and kin, as well as celebratory festival goers, performers, action artists, models, cultural leaders, parents and children alike.
Freebird Body Art shares the love for this artistic expression throughout the year at different festivals, events, workshops, parties and private appointments. We only use professional products like TAG, Wolfe, Diamond FX and Myron. All paints are non toxic and hypoallergenic.
